Thought to be the last pit pony used at the Ladyshore Colliery, Little Lever about 1950, following nationalisation of the industry. The man on the right is Joe Lansdale from Wellfield, Nob End Little Lever, one of the last canal boatmen on the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal.
