Locally known as 'the bottom of Black Lane" shows life around 1905 or 1906 when the tramways came into being. The buildings in the centre with their lower roof level suggests a much earlier date than the Victorian buildings alongside. Typically this style of building was about 1800-1830. Notive the snadstone blocks or setts that form the road surface.
