HRS 1967 Radcliffe New Rd c1900

A view looking west down Radcliffe New Road towards the town centre c1900. On the left is Hardcastle's Textile finishing works and on the right St John's church. The spoil tips on the right were deposited there by contractors during the construction of the long railway cutting from Whitefield to Radcliffe. It later became Coronation Park. Notice the people walking up and down the footpath. How many mill chimneys are there?
