Grange-over-Sands Myrtle Bank Pier

Today the sand has been replaced by salt-marsh and the Myrtle Bank wooden pier or jetty is no more. The building on the left hand side of the photo was the old Crown Hotel which was destroyed by fire, a new Crown Hotel was constructed which was closed, & part of it incorporated into the new Crown Hill flat. St Paul's Church which James Rostron Riley attended is centre left. Photo: James Rostron Riley Album 1898.
