Manchester, Cheetham Hill, St Lukes Church

St Luke's Church, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, built in the 1830's on the grand scale to serve a growing community in north Manchester. But in the early 1970's as the area was re-developed and extensive dry rot was discovered in the church, the building was demolished soon after this picture was taken in 1975. Leaving just the tower and the grave yard, alongside the busy Cheetham Hill Road.
(Architect, TW Atkinson 1836-1839)
