There is a curious opening to what at 1st site might appear to be a mine entrance. It is situated on the south side of the railway cutting just before Conwy Morfa Bridge, North Wales. Mining for iron did take place locally - is it an iron mine uncovered by railway construction or straightforwardly a man hole to protect men working on the line? If you know the answer we would love to hear from you.
