HRS 2322 Kirkhead Tower showing steps

Kirkhead Tower was a practical observation point offering good views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District Mountains. It was built by the Cavendish Family probably in the 19th century, and has been described by Pevsner "Buildings of England North Lancashire" as a folly.
