HRS 7193 Hodge Close Quarry and Wetherlam
Hodge Close and Parrock Quarries were actively quarried until the 1960s particularly for the celebrated green slate of the Lake District. The quarry is 150 ft deep (at least) and nowadays is popular with climbers and subterranean divers.
