Manchester, Ardwick Green, St Thomas's church exterior
St Thomas’s Church, Manchester, in the heart of Ardwick Green is one of the oldest churches in Manchester, it opened in 1740 and closed for worship in 1978. Today it is now home to GMCVO (Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation), the St Thomas Centre, as it is now called hosts conferences, training, meetings and other events. This picture was taken in 1976, two years before it closed for worship.
