"What we had we had two fires .. & smoke came into the room. I went out to the out-house and tried to come back in .. & all the glass in the outhouse splintered with the suction.
The wife was at the kitchen sink washing the dishes at the time & she says 'What are you doing?' I says, 'I'm trying to shut this door'. She turned round & could see right up the hallway to the front door -which had gone. She looked at the lobby which had all capsized. Then my wife says 'Where's the dog? .. the dog was in the kitchen cowering under the table - so I picked him up. We had to go up the lobby to get to the front door ... I looked in my son's bedroom and there was nothing there at all just a big hole."
