HRS 2101 Grane Manufacturing Company, Mill Engine

The mill steam engine photographed on the last day of operation on the 20th December 1978. It was built in 1907 by SS Stott Engineers of Haslingden, a firm literally just a few hundred yards down the road. Grane Manufacturing Company was a cotton mill, part of the weaving shed was still operational.
