HRS 321 Cwm Ciprwth waterwheel from shaft

An important 19th century copper mine in the Pennant Valley, over the hills from Beddgelert. The waterwheel and ancillary mechanism has been restored by the Welsh Development agency and the National Park. Access is extremely difficult.
Picture shows flat-rods used to transmit power to shaft.
