The Pant limestone quarry on Halkyn Mountain Flintshire presents a sequence through the Carboniferous Cef Mawr limestone. Also included in the gallery are chert occurrences, shale bands and evidence of mineralisation. The quarry is close to the Halkyn Mountain lead mining area and traces of mining have been discovered during quarrying. The photo were taken in May 2004. NGR SJ 19905 70232
