Saved in the nick of time! This extensive collection of 35mm slides was saved from the rubbish tip at the very last minute and presented to a local history society, who in turn presented it to the Heritage Image Archive. Saving a selection of scans from this Collection is exactly what the Heritage Image Archive was set up to do!
The Collection from an unknown photographer chronicles places, churches, and scenes from the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire, Shropshire, North Wales and Scotland. In this particular Gallery we have included an assortment of images not just of the Dales but other parts of Yorkshire. There was a good collection of images of Yorkshire, but unfortunately almost all of them had been severely water damaged and attacked by mould. KH
