Gwytherin is a remote Welsh village and community on the east side of the Conwy Valley. It is a remote area famous for its church, but less well known is that it was also the setting for the 1st in a series of books by Ellis Peters entitled "A morbid taste for bones'. The series of stories was eventually made into the TV series Cadfael in 1996, starring Derek Jacobi.
