The Ragged School undated

An interesting Victorian re-construction of a Ragged School. The picture has been polychrome tinted. The image colours have been electronically 'restored' to suggest how the original stereoscopic picture looked.

The man teaching looks very much like the young Banardo who set up the first Ragged School offering free education to children from the east end of London.

Image credited J Eliot. No date.
