The view is northwestward towards the sea. The ditch in the centre of the image is interesting. Was it a supply to a waterwheel or fulling mill? Was it a boundary marker? email comment suggests " They are Medieval boundary ditches many are to be seen in Betws, they separate arable land from cattle land. A program about similar on Sky TV about Dartmoor indicated they are earlier than the black death."
