HRS 8578 Ulverston, near Canal Foot, fossil corals 2017
Carboniferous limestone exposure on shores of River Leven near Canal Foot, Ulverston. The upper lighter limestone is Park limestone, the lower section is Dalton Limestone containing several obvious corals Syringopora sp. Water issues from beneath the Park limestone paleakarst surface. KH
