Silloth, Eden St

The town is essentially Victorian and developed as a small holiday resort in the 1860s when the railway from Carlisle arrived. Like many resorts it has slipped into decline, but it still has a small port on the Solway, and a fine main street.

Notice the Solway Hotel on the left of the photo offering Golf, and Livery Stables! Photo Ref: ct4895
