Keswick Moot Hall was originally built in the 16th century, rebuilt in 1695, the present building dating from 1813. Moot Halls date bakc many centuries and were places where local people could meet and make decisions and discuss local issues. The Moot Hall in Keswick now houses the Tourist Information Centre.
