The small area of raised land middle centre of the picture is Rougholme Point. The rocks found there are brockrams, atype of brecciated or fragmented rock dating to the Permian Period. The irregular content of the brockrams and the nature of their deposition suggests they were deposited by flash-floods during storms in a desert environment. KH
