Mary Bealey a prominent Wesleyan Methodist associated with the family of AC Bealey bleachers of Radcliffe who reputedly brought Methodism to the Radcliffe area. Judging by the head dress and hair-style the photograph is very early c1850-1860 and could have been one of the first photographs ever taken in Radcliffe.
