HRS 5007b Loom picker stick maker Radcliffe 1970s

Picking or picker sticks were always made of hardwood such as beech. The stick had special leathers attached and the stick would hit the shuttle on the loom propelling the shuttle across to the other side where another picker stick propelled it back.
