HRS 6012 Little Orme, Huge detached blocks or glacial erratics 2004
There is some uncertainly about the placement of these huge blocks of Carboniferous limestone. Were they part of an ice-stream or powerful meltwater movement during the Ice Age, or did they simply tumble down the side of the cliff? Another possibility is that they were detached from the headland by ice and pushed up against a cliff. Any ideas? Do please let us know.
