An unusual and rare photo, presumably posed, of Stanley Grundy in his home. The scene is strongly lit from the right and shows the old-style cast-iron range and fire grate with an oven on the left. A large tea-pot stands on the shelf above the fire, upper left of centre. The chairs are made of wood. Who was the photographer and why was it taken?
There is a reference to Stanley Grundy being being in the Royal Army Medical Corps in 1915 SEE /​/​http:/​/​www.​ramc-​ww1.​com/​profile_new_info.​php?profile_id=11542&​osCsid=f2c9e79d0c0cbfc1616db099a6660ab2 It is undoubtedly the same man with a cauliflower ear and a deep wound on the forehead above the nose presumably a pit injury. The caption reads in part "He was the son of DG Grundy of 7 Ridyard Street, Platt Bridge".
