Kettlewell is small village situated in Upper Wharfedale the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was important enough to have a market in the 13th century but did not really expand much before the development of lead mining in the area in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has striking field patterns and good view along what was a glacial lake towards the end of the Ice Age. Kettlewell was also the location for the 2003 film "Calendar Girls".
