HRS 652 Caban (shelter) above Croesor Valley incline
Slate was taken down the Croesor incline and on eventually to the dockside at Porthmadog. The construction of the incline and tramway structure above to the quarries is a remarkable testament to the ability of quarrymen. The valley is a classic Welsh u-shaped glacial valley.
