HRS 934 Darjeeling and distant view of Everest 1995
Darjeeling the former hill station of the British Raj. It is cooler that the plains and was preferred when the height of summer reached India. There is still a great deal of evidence of the British presence from buildings through to the manner in which local people speak still using older forms of the English language.
