The recently demolished house Penmorfa on Llandudno's West Shore was built by Alice Lidell's father as a holiday home in the 19th century. Alice is the little girl featured in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. In 1933 a statue of the White Rabbit was unveiled to commemoration her association with the town.
