Little Salkeld is small village near Penrith in Cumbria. There is a working cornmill powered by two waterwheels which is of considerable interest.

There is a video clip of the waterwheel in this Gallery showing the rotating wheel and the characteristic sound of its motion.

It is also available on you Tube at

Close by is the nationally important Long Meg and her daughters, a Neolithic/Bronze Age stone circle, the 3rd largest in Britain. Click http://heritagephotoarchive.co.uk/ To p288560458 to see more images under archaeology
