Entwistle station 1968

NGR SD7217
"The change in facilities is quite dramatic. The four tracks - two dedicated to freight traffic, although these were already out of use - have been reduced to a single track, and the quite substantial station buildings have been reduced to a small shelter.
The reason for being at Entwistle was to photograph the very last standard gauge steam trains to be operated by British Railways, which were due to pass through quite shortly after this shot was taken." Text AMR
