HRS 4039 Whitewell, Radholme, interior of lime kiln on reef knoll 1960s

The Radholme lime-kiln is unusually large. The interior shows how it was constructed. There are at least two hearths of differing dates of construction. It appears to have been built into an existing earthwork as well as having foundations on the hard Carboniferous limestone. 2011.

This interior shot was taken in the 1960s. KH
