HRS 284 MBBC Bury Wharf coal boat with boxes 1970s

Two coal boats belonging to the Ladyshore Colliery Company, Little Lever lie abandoned in an arm of Bury Basin. The Ladyshore Colliery Company were pioneers in containerisation, the coal being carried in boxes.
