The tunnel emerged into what was the major terminal basin for the summit level of the canal. Not only was the Weddell Brook end of the tunnel arched over, but the Bury Basin end was covered with a large warehouse. Again like image HRS 266 it is built on the local sandstone with a brick arched entrance.
