HRS 1436 Coal pit NW corner Radcliffe Cemetery 1967

A small coal pit known locally as a ladder pit existed adjacent to the north west corner of Radcliffe Municipal Cemetery. It was probably associated with nearby clay extraction for brick-making. 1967.
