Water Street, Radcliffe, Canal Bridge, over the Manchester, Bolton & Bury canal and its notorious hairpin corner, was replaced in the 1960's with a new bridge which smoothed out the bend on this busy through route. This 1962 photograph also shows the old Rex Cinema building, on the right, which was turning over to the popular "Bingo" craze of the time.
