North westerly view along Camp Street, off Deansgate, Manchester 1976. The Manchester, Salford Junction Canal Tunnel is directly beneath the road. The tunnel was constructed by creating and open trench then arching it over with brick. The building at the end of the road on the left is a warehouse with an accumulator tower used to create a pressurized water system for moving goods wagons and operating internal lifts.
