Langdale Tuff & Wrengill Formation (both Borrowdale Volcanic Group) exposures part of evidence for interpretation of rocks there as volcanic ash and possible intrusive sill deposited in a lake between volcanic vents. 2. Sedimentary structures of great variety, turbidites, graded and reverse graded beds etc. 3. Evidence of faulting and slumping during deposition.
