Cumbria, Lune Gorge, Salterwath Bridge NY612 009

  1. Lune Gorge, Salterwath Bridge NY612 009 Dry stone wall on SE bank of River Lune made from locally derived rounded glacial boulders - probably from the river bed. The wall forms a barrier to prevent stock from entering the water at a deep, fast part of the river.
