HRS 1921 Radcliffe Goods Yard exit to main line 1967

Shows various features. The line on the left is the old ELR (East Lancashire Railway Line to Manchester. Notice the brazier (middle centre) using for keeping the water pipe ice-free in winter. The 'elephant's trunk lying on the floor (left) is all the remains of the water column used to supply steam locomotives. The looks towards Bury.
