HRS 3244 Ashton-under-Lyne, Portland Basin c1968

The Portland Basin warehouse is on the left side of the photo behind the slender footbridge. The view is taken from the Peak Forest Canal that joins the Ashton Canal in the basin. The giant Tudor cotton spinning mill can be seen on the right.
