Sabden is a small village on the slopes of Pendle Hill in Lancashire. It is important for its association with the Free-trade thinker Richard Cobden and erroneously, the Pendle Witches. Richard Cobden established in 1837 an unconformist school in Sabden - free of religious control. Photo A photo taken at the front of the school c1900
