Peter Hill is a distinctive mound near Cark-in-Cartmel and Flookburgh. It was generally believed to be a 'burial site' or tumulus, but this has now been disproved and it is either a drumlin or a kame formed under the ice sheet some 18,000 years ago, and may be part of a 'swarm' of drumlins in the area.
