HRS 2899 Bealeys, Course of Bealeys tramway 1970s

Following the opening of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal in the 1790s Bealey's built a wharf and tramway to convey coal, chemicals, acids and sulphur. Little remains of the tramway today, the photo is taken near to Eton Hill Road, in Radcliffe.
