HRS 631 Bangor Station, Steam locomotive 46206 Princess Marie Louise 1961
LMS steam locomotive 4-6-2 Princess class 46206 "Princess Marie Louise" at Bangor Station in North Wales at the head of a London Euston to Holyhead train. Locomotives of this class were introduced from 1933, and survived until the end of steam in the 1960s. They were used increasingly on the London to Holyhead service towards the end of their working lives, as this section of the network was not electrified. Notice the water column on the right with its flexible elephant's trunk pipe to supply water to the locomotive.
