The photographer looks down on to the shore at Penmaemawr. There is a sailing ship at the jetty loaded with quarry stone. Railway wagons in a nearby siding are also loaded with stone from the quarry. In the extreme distance is Little Orme's Head at Llandudno. The scene today is completely different with the A55 European Expressway running along the shore.
