The wall is an interesting presentation of local rocks from the beach deposits at its base made mainly of glacial deposits, next is worked or quarried Triassic sandstone laid in a course.
Above that is a series of larger rounded rocks with a marked delineation suggesting that this was the original height of the wall and that the upper section was added later.
