Hafodunos Hall near the village of Llangernyw in North Wales was gutted by fire on 13 Oct 2004. Two local men were convicted of arson. Hafodunos was a classic Victorian 'Gothic-style' country house designed by Sir Richard Gilbert Scott. It was built for the Sandbach family between 1861-66. The house contained many important sculptures and pieces of art.
The Hall is now owned by a private owner who is restoring the Hall and gardens.
