I have received the following request for help.

"I am conserving/restoring this object for Beamish Museum as part of my masters degree at Durham University. As you can see, it really was in quite a state when I received it and I have been slowly working to return it to its original form.

I am struggling to find information on its manufacture and materials. The woman I have been dealing with at the CWS Historic Archives cannot find any information on the mannequin or the bra with model number B460. I have dated it (by looking at comparative examples) to between 1950 - 1968". Julia Robinson.
