Iceland is easily reached from the UK. It is a country 'living on a volcano', with spectacular steaming vents and foaming waterfalls and of course ice and snow.
A visit to Greenland is like no other. The photos were taken in 1996 when the affect of climate change was beginning to become obvious. It is a beautiful place, with ice and snow even in summer, and the view of the edge of the Greenland Ice Sheet puts Britain in the Ice Age into perspective.
